Decoding War, Geopolitics & Economic Order at UAJK
The Kashmir Institute of Economics, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (UAJK), organized an insightful seminar titled “War, Geopolitics and Economy: Interplay of War, Geopolitics and Economic Order.”
The event brought together distinguished experts and practitioners including Dr. Muqeem ul Islam Soharwardy, Director General Kashmir Institute of Management; Sardar Shazib Shabbir, Chief Executive Officer Gulf Empire and President Sudhan Educational Conference; and Dr. Sajid Amin Javed, Deputy Executive Director, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
The speakers highlighted the deep interconnections between global conflict dynamics, geopolitical shifts, and economic structures, with particular emphasis on implications for developing economies. The engaging session also featured an interactive Q&A, where students actively participated and explored key contemporary issues.
Earlier, Director Kashmir Institute of Economics, Prof. Dr Samina Sabir, welcomed the guests and participants and outlined the objectives of the seminar, emphasizing the importance of academic dialogue on emerging global challenges.
In his concluding remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Nasir Jamal Khattak thanked the speakers and underscored that economics fundamentally revolves around the efficient allocation and management of scarce resources. He also stressed the importance of active student participation in organizing academic seminars and conferences across departments to strengthen learning and leadership.
