The Director of Finance & Planning is a full-time statutory officer responsible for the effective management of the University’s financial resources, assets, and investments.
The Directorate oversees the preparation and presentation of Annual and Revised Budget Estimates to the Finance & Planning Committee, ensuring that financial planning aligns with institutional priorities and regulatory requirements. It also ensures that all funds are utilised prudently and strictly for their designated purposes.
In addition, the Director of Finance & Planning serves as Secretary to the Finance & Planning Committee, facilitating informed decision-making and financial oversight.
The Directorate plays a key role in institutional development by formulating development projects and strategic plans that support the University’s long-term growth. It also contributes to quality assurance by coordinating and supporting periodic evaluations of academic programmes.
