Established in 2014, the Department of Psychology is dedicated to academic excellence along with a strong understanding of human behavior and mental processes at the undergraduate level. Guided by the mission “Learn, Lead, and Change the World,” it equips students with a solid grounding in psychological theories, scientific methods, and practical applications.

Students are introduced to multiple areas of psychology including cognitive, organizational, environmental, positive, developmental, child and adolescent, social, and cross-cultural psychology, along with other emerging specializations. Teaching in the department emphasizes active class participation, observation, group discussions, student-led presentations, pair work, and assignments to keep learning dynamic and practical. The use of audiovisual aids makes the learning experience more engaging and accessible. Assessment is based on class participation, attendance, presentations, assignments, and final examinations. It evaluates a wide range of cognitive and emotional abilities, including intellectual functioning, learning capacity, problem-solving, planning, organization, and academic skills such as reading, writing, and spelling.
