From 2023 to 2025, Dr. Mehmood worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the DigiPES Lab at Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof. Phuong Nguyen. Prior to joining the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, he served as an Assistant Professor at the U.S.–Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, from 2019 to 2020.
His research interests span a wide range of topics, including the planning and operation of active distribution systems, machine learning applications in distribution systems, electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems, power system optimization, and modeling of electrical power systems.
He welcomes collaboration and is open to discussions related to his areas of expertise.
